Inshore Fishing Report in Savannah GA
Adventuring the Outdoors
So far the fall/winter spotted sea trout bite has been great with fishermen getting the chance to catch them in style. The best bait is going to be live shrimp and the best news is once you get the bite going you can switch to artificial patterns. My favorite artificial is the DOA combo with the colors of New Penny or Copper Crush. This keeps the cost down because you can easily go through a pint of shrimp within two hours. With the water temperatures around 60 degrees most inshore fishing has moved to mouths of feeder creeks or the rivers. Another technique that may “older locals” use is slow trolling. Yes, slow trolling for inshore fishing for trout. I couldn't believe it for myself until I tried it, what is good about trolling is once you start to get bites you want to anchor and fish that spot. What works best for trolling is the “candy corn paddle tails”with a red jig head.
I want to thank you for reading my fishing report, I know most of you are from Florida which is the greatest state in America because that is my home state. Unfortunately I am in Savannah Ga because I serve in the Army’s most elite unit and that is 1st Ranger Battalion. So for me what I was used to in Florida has changed dramatically here in Savannah because of the tide changes here are so drastic. We get usually 7-8 ft tide change, which makes it a little more difficult to fish because the water is not at clear and beautiful as Florida waters but this gives you the opportunity to master fishing on a different level. Hope everyone has a great week of fishing as I will, and stay tuned for my next weeks fishing report, Tight Lines.

Winter Fishing
Adventuring the Outdoors is about doing what you enjoy most. There are too many activities to be doing outside to be sitting inside playing video games, web surfing or just watching TV. The activity that I have been enjoying lately is fishing. Fishing in the Winter so far has been pleasant, the trout bite is doing great. The picture is my Father-in-law holding up a good size trout caught in Florida, however my fishing is here in Savannah Ga. With the water temperatures at 60 degrees, the feeder creeks and rivers have been a spot where most fish are sitting waiting for the bait to swim by. Live shrimp is my go to bait as well as my DOA setup with a variety of colors.
What types of Outdoor adventures have you been doing lately? I would love to hear stories or see pictures of your adventures. I would have more hunting stories but I just had my knee surgery 4 weeks ago but I do plan on Hunting by the end of deer season.
Thank you for viewing my blog, I hope you enjoy and please share with your friends, if you have any suggestions please let me know, Thanks!

Vacation is over...New Posts will be coming!
I apologize to any of my current and new followers for the lack of post in the past few months. This blog page will be starting with many new updates and post as the summer activities begin. For those that want or need to know I had an ACL, meniscus and LCL surgery in January and with my move from Columbus GA to the beautiful Savannah GA I have been extremely busy with my personal life. So I felt that I needed something to help my rehabilitation process so I purchased a new 2012 Mako Center Console boat and even a GoPro. I will be updating you with great video of my fishing trips here in Savannah as well as any other Outdoor Adventuring I plan to do in the future. Stay tune and please send me any feedback to help ensure the quality of my blog. Thank You!
